Strategic Partners

We are focused on strategic partnerships because we believe that collaborative synergy is a powerful force.  If your group is focused on the role that disruptive environmental chemicals have on cancer and/or other types of disease, we want to hear from you.  And if your organization is focused on finding a cure for cancer, please don’t hesitate to contact us, because we want to find ways to work with other organizations that are focused on the same goal.

Some of our strategic partners are listed below:

EWG is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.  EWG’s mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. With breakthrough research and education, EWG drive consumer choice and civic action.  For more than 20 years, EWG has been changing the game in environmental policy. The organization advocates for a healthier, greener world, activates consumers to stand up for better policies and markets and advances sound science in environmental health.

EWG is led by Ken Cook, the president and co-founder of Environmental Working Group.  He is widely recognized as one of the environmental community’s most prominent and influential critics of industrial agriculture in the USA, of food and farm policies and the nation's broken approach to protecting families and children from toxic substances.  Under Cook’s leadership, EWG has pioneered the use of digital technologies to expose the harms done by misconceived crop subsidies, crop insurance and runaway agricultural pollution. The organization has also empowered American families with easy-to-use, data-driven tools to help reduce their exposure to potentially harmful ingredients in foods, drinking water, cosmetics and other household products.

Commonweal works in three core fields—health and healing, art and education, and environment and justice.  Within those fields, Commonweal incubates and supports a dozen different programs including programs in cancer, health professional education, environmental health, adult learning, yoga, healing nutrition, permaculture gardening, and juvenile justice.

Dr Michael Lerner is the president and co-founder of Commonweal. He is a visionary and pioneer who authored Choices in Healing: Integrating the Best of Conventional and Complementary Therapies (MIT Press) in 1994.  His principle work at Commonweal is with the Cancer Help Program (since 1985), the Collaborative on Health and the Environment (since 2000), The New School (since 2007), Healing Circles (since 2014), and the Cancer Prevention Initiative (since 2014).
