It is our intention to bring together a number of highly respected cancer researchers (those with expertise in the anti-cancer properties of plant-based compounds) and physicians/oncologists (those who have an interest in this sort of an approach to therapy) in the summer of 2013 to lay the conceptual groundwork for a substantial project that can move us towards a clinically relevant solution to this problem.
We believe that this approach will reveal a therapeutic solution that will be much more effective and far less expensive than any other therapy that currently exists. We also believe that many of the low-to-middle income countries have been “priced out” of the latest developments in cancer therapy, and therefore unable to benefit from the latest technological advances. Yet we do not believe that cost should be the driving factor in decisions related to cancer care, so our goal is to instigate the development of an (unpatented) affordable therapeutic solution that can be shared globally. So we plan to work with scientists, cancer charities, and progressively-minded national health agencies around the globe to inspire funding and instigate research that will illustrate the full potential of this approach.
